The first time I saw the “Real Escape” was in 1998.  I couldn’t wait to show this dream house to my wife.  This place would have been wonderful for our honeymoon.  A 2,000 square foot private home located directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, with a private boat dock, and swimming platform. 

The fishing has always been quite good, just off of the dock, below the martini deck to the house.  The martini deck is below the raised wood deck that has the wonderful, but secluded view of the private lake cove.  You can step out onto the wood deck from the living room, & put some nice steaks, or fresh fish on the Weber gas grill, for a delightful cookout.  The fish may be one of the many varieties you may catch off of the dock.  This could be crappie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, blue gills, striped bass, or you may even catch a turtle. 

While the food is grilling, you can walk into the fully equipped kitchen to prepare what ever you desire.  Get some ice from the ice maker in the fridge, to cool your drinks. Put your potatoes in the microwave, or cook them on the stove.  When the weather is cool outside, you can stay cozy inside next to the fireplace in the sunken living room.  If you get hungry, visit one of the many fabulous restaurants located close by, on or off the lake. 

You can rent a pontoon, ski boat, sail boat, or wave runner to travel by water to a local restaurant or bar.  There is a good chance you will also hear some wonderful live band playing lively music you can dance to, while your sipping on a cool cocktail. 

Now, if you just in the mood for a quiet evening at home, this can be equally as good.  You can rent a DVD movie just down the road, & put it into the DVD player connected to the color TV.  Or you can play some music in the CD player in the living room.  The house is plenty big, with 3 bedrooms and 4 full baths.  Each bedroom has a private bathroom which includes a bathtub and shower.  Then the 4th bathroom is in the hallway downstairs.  The upstairs bedroom on the left, has 2 single beds, a roll away bed, and a sleeper sofa.  The upstairs bedroom on the right, has 2 queen size beds.  The master bedroom downstairs has a huge king-size bed.  All of the bedrooms have private balconies with nice views. 

There is so much to do in this vacation resort area, Osage Beach.  Located within 10 minutes from the lakeside home, there is a outlet shopping mall with many, many, stores.  You shop until you drop.  There is gambling and trout fishing nearby.  This house is located in the Tan-Tara Estates which is just next to the Tan-Tara Golf resort.  You can golf at one of the many beautiful golf courses in the area, Bay View Golf Course, Bear Creek Golf Course, Deere Chase Golf Course, Dogwood Hills Golf Club, Eldon Golf Club, Lodge of the Four Seasons, Hidden Lakes Golf Course, The Oaks Golf Club at Tan-Tara Resort, Old Kinderhook Golf Course, Osage National Golf Club, Seasons Ridge Golf Club, Sycamore Creek Golf Club, or Witches Cove Golf Course. 

Of course since you are staying right on the Lake of the Ozarks, you may want to go boating, water skiing, swimming, para-sailing, sail boating, or ride a wave runner or jet ski.  There are plenty of trails to go hiking in the near by state parks.  Your family may want to visit one of the water parks, or go ride the go carts, or play putt putt golf.  Small children have lots to do at the amusement parks nearby. 

You just can’t beat a visit to the “Real Escape” private lakeside home in Tan-Tara Estates.  There is so much room in this 2 story house.
